7th Durian Festival sets the tone of abundance
TAGUM CITY, Aug. 9 -- Tagum City is set to celebrate the Durian Festival 2012 with its theme, “yields of the fields…an abundance to celebrate”
For seven years in a row, the Tagum City Tourism Council chaired by Madam Alma L. Uy has been consistent in promoting the delightful taste of Durian - the King of Fruits.
Focused on art, taste, presentation, competence, and creativity, such skills will be tested in the Best Durian Fruit Competition, Cocktail Flair Tending Competition, Coffee Blending Competition, and Best Booth Competition during the trade fair from August 17 to September 17, 2012.
The 7th Durian Festival will be launched on August 17 by introducing the participating chefs and bartenders all over Mindanao. Durian Festival 2012 includes Food Basket in 10 barangays, presentation of Durian Kakanin, Durian Bread, Durian Pie, Durian Cake, and Durian Dessert Buffet. (Cromwell Tagum CIO/JDA/PIA XI)
