RDC-X supports role of RTESDC role in technical education and skills dev’t budget review

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Aug. 10 (PIA) -- The Regional Development Council (RDC) in Northern Mindanao expressed its support to the role of the Regional Technical Education and Skills Development (RTESDC) in reviewing and endorsing technical-vocational education and training (TVET)-related budget proposals of government and non-government agencies through RDC Resolution No. 27 s. 2012.

RTESDC Chair Arsenio Sebastian said the resolution illustrates Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) authority role in the field of TESD in the region and the appreciation of the RDC of Tesda in its role in managing the sector.

Tesda-X OIC-Regional Director Edgar Sales shared his gratitude to the RTESDC members for recognizing their significant roles in TVET policy framing activities for the benefit of the Tech-Voc stakeholders.

Sales is also appreciative of the members of the RDC-X for highly supporting this mandate by exhorting all government and non-government agencies to submit their TVET related budget proposals to Tesda for review.

This initiative signifies the active involvement of the Regional TESD Committee in TVET policy legislation in the region which earned commendation from the Tesda Director General Sec. Joel J. Villanueva. (Marigold Cherie Garrido, TESDA-10/ APB, PIA-10)
