Comelec-Ifugao organizes List of Municipal Board of Election Inspectors and support staff

LAGAWE, Ifugao, Feb.15 (PIA) --The Commission on Election (Comelec) here has already organized the Municipal Board Inspectors (BEIs) and their support staff for the May 13, 2013 national and local elections in the province.

Provincial Election Supervisor Ricardo Bulintao said the election officers of the 11 towns of this province already submitted the list of the BEIs, Department of Education (DepEd) supervisors, and their support staff in the different polling centers.

He said only the identification and listing of the members of the Board of Canvassers (BOCs) has not been accomplished yet. Many of those identified were disqualified because they have relatives running for various positions in the coming election, he said.

Bulintao said the organization of the BEIs and BOCs is pursuant to a memorandum of Comelec central office that they submit a consolidated list of BEIs, BOCs, BEI supervisors and their support staff as required by the Information Technology Department (ITD) of Comelec which creates the Election Management System (EMS) database for the BOCs and BEIs for the election.

The list of the names of the CCSOs for BOCs and the Support Staff for the Clustered Precincts for the BEIs and DepEd supervisors and their support staff in polling centers, will be submitted to the office of the Deputy Executive Director for Operations. This is however, not done yet pending the release of its general guidelines.

Bulintao said that they can complete the list as required before they are deployed to their respective new assignments for the coming election.(JDP/DBC-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
