Ifugao has 732 social pensioners for 2012

LAGAWE, Ifugao, July 31 (PIA) -- The province has a total of 732 social pensioners for 2012 under the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010.
Minda Romero of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), said these pensioners come from the 11 municipalities of the province: Kiangan has the most number, 162; Tinoc, 111; Aguinaldo, 88; Lamut, 75; Mayoyao, 66; Asipulo, 52; Hungduan, 51; Alfonso Lista, 43; Banaue, 36; Lagawe, 27, and Hingyon with 21.
According to Romero, the DSWD has paid the pensioners the total amount of 1,681,500 so far this year.
RA 9994 entitles each qualified indigent senior citizen to a monthly stipend of P500 to augment daily subsistence and other medical needs. (DBC-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
