BFP to intensify fire safety education

KIANGAN, Ifugao, Feb. 25 (PIA) -- The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) here vowed to intensify  the conduct of a more comprehensive fire safety education to the community  after a house was burned down reportedly  caused by  children  playing with fire.

 
Senior Fire Officer 1 Ireneo Tilan Jr.  said  part of their information, education campaign is  to  advise  parents to teach their children  fire safety precaution at home and in the community.
 
 
Meanwhile, the  Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) has relief goods consisting of clothing, rice, canned goods, noodles and biscuits for the family of  Louis Buyayo, 48, whose house was razed by  fire last February 12 at Barangay Tuplac  here .
 
 
According to MDRRMC Officer Derick Gawe,  Buyayo and his family are  temporarily living in a neighbor’s house. The  family  has been referred  to the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office for shelter assistance for them to start  anew.(DC-PIA CAR,Ifugao)
