DENR-10 Regional ManCon held in Lanao del Norte
TUBOD, Lanao del Norte, Aug 1 (PIA) -- The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-10 (DENR-10) held its regional management conference (ManCon) at the Mindanao Civic Center Hotel, here on July 25 and 26.
The two-day event was anchored on the theme, “Synergy for a Healthy Well Being and a Healthy Environment,” wherein the regional department discussed their accomplishments, targets and management options.
“Our ultimate goal as stewards of the environment is to have a future where our children can bask for in enjoying the beauty of nature,” said Regional Executive Director Corazon B. Galinato.
RED Galinato also underscored the importance of a holistic approach in managing an organization.
"We cannot attain our goal if we focus only on the work part of the equation, but rather, it would be of great significance to consider on the worker or implementer’s part, being healthy and happy, to be as more productive in implementing the department’s plans and programs," said Galinato.
Galinato also urged the participants to attain a healthy workforce to attain a healthy environment. She said there should be an option for health improvement for all our co-employees in the organization government’s , for instance she said Hataw Program, should be replicated in the field offices.
Mid-year accomplishment reports from the provincial environment and community offices of the five provinces were presented, namely, Bukidnon, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental and Lanao del Norte, which is the host province, as well those from city environment community offices in Iligan, Oroquieta, Ozamis, Gingoog and Malaybalay.
Galinato thanked the provincial government of Lanao del Norte, especially Governor Khalid Q. Dimaporo and his provincial board for hosting the event, through the recommendation of environment officers Ben Ali Decampong, Al Hadj, and Pacasum Mascara, Al Hadj, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office, Lanao del Norte and Community Environment and Natural Resources Office Kolambugan, respectively.
