CdO gov't workers to receive salary increase on Aug 15
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Aug 4 -- On pay day this August 15, city hall officials and employees will start receiving another salary increase, representing the third installment of the third round of the Salary Standardization Law 3, or Republic Act 6758.
Mayor Vicente Emano said the city government has prioritized this and earmarked funds for the purpose to augment the income of local government employees and to help their respective families.
He expressed hopes that this will inspire employees to continue to work hard and deliver real public service to the city’s constituents.
“Gipaningkamotan gayud sa kagamhanan sa dakbayan nga mapangita-an og igong pundo ang pag-usbaw sa suholan aron madasig ang mga opisyal ug kawani sa pagtunol og tiunay nga serbisyo ngadto sa katawhan, uban usab sa panghinaut nga makahatag kini’g alibyo sa ilang pamilya (The city government has worked hard in looking for enough funds intended for the salary increases to encourage officers and employees in providing better services to the people, along with the optimism in providing them the comfort to their families),” he added.
Upon the recommendation of the city mayor, the 16th city council, headed by Vice Mayor Caesar Ian E. Acenas, approved Ordinance No. 12361-2012, granting additional P1,000 uniform/clothing allowance to each official and employee of the city government. (Lorebeth C. Requiroso/CdeOSP/PIA10)
