Mega job fair at City Hall
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, June 13 -- Here’s a good news to jobseekers.
The city government headed by Mayor Vicente Emano in cooperation with Centrio Ayala Mall will open a two-day Mega Job Fair tomorrow at the City Hall grounds, June 14.
Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager Juvy Paza said as of June 11, 75 local business establishments, 300 Ayala Merchants and 22 overseas employment agencies have signified intention to join the mega job fair.
She said there are 11,350 various job vacancies for the Ayala mall, restaurant and hotel workers, and for cruise ship staff, nurses, engineers, skilled workers, construction workers, among others.
As this developed, Vice Mayor Caesar Ian Acenas is inviting job seekers to visit City Hall and the PESO office tomorrow and on June 15 for various local and overseas employment opportunities.
The PESO has posted all job vacancies in 20 bulletin boards set up at the City Hall to guide job seekers.
Line agencies like the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and National Statistics Office (NSO) will be attending the scheduled job fair.
The mega job fair is one of the highlights of the joint celebration of the 114th Independence Day on June 12, the 62nd Charter Day celebration of Cagayan de Oro on June 15 and the 151st birth anniversary of Gat Jose Rizal on June 19. (LCR/PIA10)
