DILG holds recognition for the 47th batch LGOO inductive training Phase 1

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, May 28 -- All 20 trainees belonging to the 47th batch of local government operations officers (LGOO) completed the induction training for Phase 1 Center last May 14.

The said trainees had passed all the seven modules of Phase 1.

The trainees have to undergo six months of extensive training with two phases. Phase 1 consists of seven modules of center training, while Phase II consists of field immersion. Further, the trainees will primarily have to undergo a written exam and panel interview to be conducted by the Local Government Academy before the successful trainees will be inducted as full pledge LGOOs.

Present during the closing program for this batch of trainees were training management, staff, and coordinators of the training. They commended the group of Magnum 47 (the batch name of the present trainees) for passing all the modules.

OIC, Regional Director Lilibeth A. Famacion of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region Caraga joined Regional Director Atty. Rene K. Burdeos for Northern Mindanao, together with the two assistant regional directors (ARDs), Nilo P. Castañares (DILG 10) and Donald A. Seronay (Region Caraga), in congratulating the Magnum 47. Both Directors wished the batch good luck for the next phase.

OIC RD Famacion, in her message, advised the trainees that as magnum, “the great,” they must always have the courage to focus, and must have the dedication, passion, hard work, and persistence. She also urged them to share the good ideas for the purpose of excellence in local governance. She ended her message by encouraging the participants that they have the power to use their talents.

Both directors and ARD Castañares handed over certificates of completion and awards to the trainees. LGOO VI Corazon S. Vicente, training coordinator, announced the top five trainees of the said batch training: Ernie Y. Gultiano, Rhizellee V. Valencia, Rachel Hope B. Monterona, Rudcelle G. Zalsos and Mary Anthonette M. Salise.

The training management also gave special awards to some of the trainees. Ernie Y. Gultiano and the Dama de Noche were given tokens for Best Journal and garden, respectively.

Earlier, Gultiano and Valencia spoke, conveying their appreciation to the training management as they shared their impressions on the said training. In behalf of the group, they conveyed their thanks to the trainers for all the knowledge and understanding they shares to the trainees. (DILG/PIA10)
