Task force demolishes illegal structure fronting DSWD 10

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, May 9 (PIA) -- A joint task force demolished an illegal structure in front of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office – 10 along Masterson Avenue, Upper Carmen here.

It took almost 10 years for the authorities to clean and to demolish the store which was encroaching on the road-right-of-way of the national highway and the office of the agency.

Manuel M. Borres, Chief Administrative Officer of DSWD – 10, said he is thankful to the operatives of the joint task force, headed by Police Superintendent Antonio C. Montalba, for implementing the demolition on May 4.

The task force was composed of operatives from Cagayan de Oro City Police Office, Department of Public Works and Highways, City Engineering Office, Office of the City Building Official, City Health Officer, City Social Welfare Office, City Fire Marshal, and City Economic Enterprise Division.

The Chief Administrative Officer is grateful to the legal counsel of DSWD-10 Atty. Remedios Llego for her support to the cause of the agency against informal settlers. (Oliver Badel Inodeo-DSWD/PIA10)
