Ozamiz hosts fun run for 112th Civil Service Month 2012 in Misamis Occidental
OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental, Sept. 15 (PIA) -- More than 500 employees of the government from the different cities and municipalities of Misamis Occidental’s first and 2nd Congressional Districts, participated in the 112th Civil Service Month 2012 Province-Wide Fun Run, last Sept. 8.
The 112th Civil Service Month 2012 Province-Wide Fun Run hosted by the local government of Ozamiz City and participated in by employees from the local and national government offices, followed this route: Don Anselmo Bernad Ave., turn right at Las Aguadas, Feliciano St., Turn left at Rizal Ave., towards the Port Road and ended at Cotta Square, where a short program and awarding took place.
Initiated by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) headed by Provincial Director Wulfeda Tapulgo, the event was also attended by Mayor Nova Princess E. Parojinog-Echavez of Ozamiz City, as host LGU.
Also present were the the City Officials, ABC Federated President Reynaldo Parojinog, Sr., Provincial Legal Officer Ricardo Lomantas, who represented Governador Herminia M. Ramiro, Vice Governor Henry Oaminal and Jaime Tomada, Human Resource Management Officer of Ozamiz and event organizer.
Department of Education (DepEd) employees, supervisors and school principals of the Ozamiz City Schools Division Office, National Statistics Office (NSO), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Helath (DOH), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Crime, Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Maritime Police, among others also attended the event.
An annual activity of the CSC, the event was held to remind employees of the importance of ensuring a healthy physical and mental being as well as strengthen their relationship with the employees of other government agencies through the different sports events, thereby enhancing their productivity.
On the other hand, the PNP with their junior officers and the DOH delegations, particularly the employees of the Mayor Hilarion A. Ramiro, Sr., Regional Teaching and Training Hospital (MHARS-RTTH), were acknowledged as the delegations with the most participants. (Jopat D.Nano/RCA/PIA-Misamis Occidental)
