DSWD warns public on text scams using Pantawid Pamilya

PAGADIAN CITY, June 8 (PIA) –- They're at it again, this time targeting the poorest of the poor in their illegal activities.The Department of Social Welfare and Development warns the public, particularly the beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) on text scams currently circulating.

In the press release issued by regional director Teodulo Romo Jr. dated June 8, it said the text coming from a certain Lea Ramos which states “Congratulations, President Noy-Noy Aquino Foundation 4Ps Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, your sim # won P950,000 as second prize winner in the Handog Pangkabuhayan raffle promo, DTI 0154S’12."

Romo said the DSWD does not hold raffle promos or draws.

Romo said the DSWD urges all those who will receive the text message to immediately report to the local DSWD offices: Pagadian-(062) 2143-259, Ipil- (062) 333-2435, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte- (065) 311-1074, Dipolog – (065) 212-6265, and Zamboanga City – (062) 991-6030 or text to the Pantawid Pamilya Grievance Text Hotline No. 0918-912-2813.
