Cebuano News: Paghandum sa ika-37 nga anibersaryo sa Philippine-China Diplomatic Relations giunhan ni Aquino

MANILA, June 14 -- Si Presidente Benigno Aquino III maoy nanguna sa mga sakop sa Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCI) ug sa Filipino-Chinese community pagsaulog sa ika-37 nga sumad pagkamugna sa Philippine-China Diplomatic Relations nga gihimo sa Manila Hotel Martes sa gabii.

Ang Presidente namahayag nga ang okasyon usa ka kahigayonan sa pagpasalamat sa tanang mga Filipino-Chinese gumikan sa ilang kakugi, dedikasyon ug sakripisyo aron mousbaw ang nasud.

Sa iyang pagpamulong, ang Presidente miingon usa ka dungog alang kaniya nga moduyog sa Filipino-Chinese community sa paghinumdom sa mga importanting hitabo nga napasundayag sa atong mga Filipino-Chinese brothers kinsa iyang giingon mga kahimanan sa pagkab-ot sa kagawasan sa nasud ug pagpanday niini.

Gihisgutan niya si General Ignacio Paua, usa sa daghang mga Chinese-Filipinos kinsa matinud-anong nakig-away alang sa dapit nga naangkon karon sa nasud aron makuha ang kaugalingnan nga ato karong napahimuslan.

“Every generation since then, called to stand for God and country, has included in its ranks Chinese-Filipinos -- from soldiers like General Vicente Lim, to the anonymous volunteer firefighters and entrepreneurs, who make our independence and our civic life more meaningful with their dedication to their country,” ang Presidente miingon.

“Today, we are given the opportunity to thank them for the sacrifices they made, and for the work they put in. I am honored to be able to remember them with all of you on this occasion, especially because Chinese-Filipinos like you are helping to fulfill the promise of independence -- a promise of prosperity. Groups like the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry are our partners in the effort to achieve the prosperity that generations of our countrymen have dreamed of,” dugang niya.

Gawas nga namulong siya sa maong hitabo, ang Presidente misaksi sa turnover sa P 2-million donation sa FFCCCI ngadto sa Philippine National Police Foundation, Inc. aron ika-suporta sa mga programa sa maong foundation; ug ang symbolic turnover sa 400 housing units ngadto sa mga biktima sa bagyong Sendong sa Cagayan de Oro ug Iligan cities.
