Wednesday 7th of March 2012MAASIN CITY, Southern Leyte, Mar 7 (PIA) -- The Philippine National Police-Southern Leyte Office conducted an information drive for the PNP Recruitment of Police Officers for calendar year 2012.
“We have conducted an information drive at the Saint Joseph College, Maasin City, Wednesday, discussing to the 3rd and 4th year criminology students the requirements in entering the police force,” Abdulmajid Jaji, PNP-Police Community Relations Chief reported.
The qualifications for Police Officer I are the following: Baccalaureate Degree Eligibility; Licensed criminologist; Civil service Professional; Honor graduates; must be at least one meter and sixty-two centimeters (or 5’4”) in height for male and one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (or 5’2”) for female; Must weigh not more or less than five kilograms (5 kgs.) from the standard weight corresponding his or her height, age and sex; Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more that thirty (30) years of age, among other requirements.
The team will be visiting other colleges for the said purpose, Jaji said. After the thorough explanation and discussion, an open forum followed which tackled some issues and clarifications regarding the police force recruitment. (ldl/mrgc/PIA 8-Southern Leyte)
