Maasin City Dad to honor two MCC agriculturists board passers

MAASIN CITY, Southern Leyte, Aug. 9 (PIA) --The Maasin City government will give honor to the two the first board passers of the educational institution since it operated, Maasin City Mayor Maloney Samaco, also president of the Maasin City College (MCC), said.

Agnes Doctor Dicen and Melvin Z. Ablon, the two graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) from MCC, were among the 1,334 successful board passers on the Agriculturist Licensure Examination held July 29, 2012.

Mayor Samaco said a ceremonial banquet will be accorded to the MCC agriculturist board passers but did not elaborate when.

Samaco further said he offered Ablon to join the agricultural services of the city government at the soonest possible time, while Dicen signified to work in Sorsogon, her home province.

The MCC was established five years ago, where it first offered courses on agriculture and public adminstration and later added social work and tourism courses.(EPT/ESG/PIA 8-SoLeyte)
