North Samar trade fair to showcase variety of provincial products

CATARMAN, Northern Samar, June 13 -- In line with the 47th Founding Anniversary Celebration of the province of Northern Samar, a four-day Diskwento Sale and Agri-Industrial Trade Fair will be formally launched on June 16 until 19, at 2:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Plaza, Catarman, Northern Samar.

As this will be open to the public, the fair will display variety of agricultural and processed products of the province.

This is one strategy of marketing assistance for small and medium producers of the locality, said Amelia Roma of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Northern Samar.

For local producers who are interested to display their products, they just have to go to DTI provincial office for product assessment and booth assignment.

According to Roma, additional attraction on this event is the Daily Livelihood Film Showing and Diskwento Sale. The film showing will present how to facilitate various activities for livelihood and the Diskwento Caravan is the selling of basic products and commodities offered at a discounted price to be participated in by big companies or businesses in the province

This event is initiated jointly by the Provincial Government of Northern Samar, Department of Trade and Industry, Philippine National Police, the local government of Northern Samar, and other local and national line agencies of the government.
