Monday 13th of February 2012TACLOBAN CITY, Leyte, Feb. 13 (PIA) -- The Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board is set to conduct an orientation seminar for proprietors/authorized managing officers (AMO) of construction firms on February 20-21, 2012 in Cebu City.
Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Regional Director Cynthia R. Nierras said that the 16-hour AMO course will cover laws and regulations pertinent to the construction industry on the National Building Code, Labor Code, Government Procurement Act, the International Revenue Code, the Build-Operate-Transfer Law, and the Local Government Code.
The registration, sponsored by the Cebu Contractors Association, Inc. (CCA), will be on a first-come, first-serve basis with a registration fee of P3,500 for non-CCA members and only P2,500 for CCA members, Director Nierras explained.
Montes said the deadline for registration will be on February 15, 2012 while on-site registration will not be allowed by the seminar organizers.
