DPWH updates media on various projects
TACLOBAN CITY, Leyte, Aug 9 (PIA) -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has updated the media on several projects being undertaken by the agency, in its monthly conference, “Pakiglambigit.”
The agency's ongoing projects include the construction of the small-water impounding program in Barangay Talisayan, Albuera, Leyte; the installation or replacement of manhole cover along Ormoc-Baybay-Southern Leyte boundary road; machine grading of unpaved road surface along Libungao-Matag-ob-Palompon road; sight distance mowing and clearing along Ormoc-Baybay-So. Leyte boundary road; manual repair of unpaved road shoulder along Ormoc-Baybay-So. Leyte boundary road; and the installation of information signs along Palompon-Isabel-Merida-Ormoc road, among others said Lino Francisco C. Gonzalez, district engineer.
He said that the conduct of “pakiglatugi,” which means to discuss or argue, is one way of showing transparency of the department and to update the public on the services being extended by them. (EOT/MAA-PIA8)
