DUMAGUETE CITY, Jan. 25 (PIA) --- Negros Oriental governor Roel Degamo turned over an additional newly-completed 2-classrom school building to Bal-os National High School in Basay, Negros Oriental with its mayor Dandilgust Abrio at hand to receive it.
Students in Bal-os National High School in Basay are now enjoying the classrooms that started construction in 2011 with funds worth P1.4M coming from the NegOr provincial government's Special Education Fund.
Said building is part of the 36 classrooms being constructed under the school building program of Gov. Roel Degamo with an earlier allocation of P30M via the Provincial School Board Fund.
The move aims to address the lack of classrooms and teachers in the province.
Degamo has earlier written DepEd requesting for more than 50 teacher items for the province. To date, the governor is still waiting for DepED's respond to the shortage of public school teachers in NegOr. (mbcn/RMN/PIA-NegOr with reports from Adrian Sedillo)
