Jamindan police station voted as most citizen–friendly in Capiz

ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Aug. 9 (PIA6) -- The Jamindan Police Station in Capiz has been adjudged as most citizen–friendly police station in the province by a panel of search evaluators.

A plaque of recognition was received by Police S/Insp. Roman B. Salazar, Jr. during an awarding ceremony at the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) in Barangay Lanot here.

Lawyer Marte S. Palomar, National Police Commission (Napolcom) regional director and S/Supt. Domingo S. Cabillan, Capiz police director, led the activity.

During the ceremony, Palomar lauded the personnel of Jamindan PNP for their exemplary performance from June 2011 to June 2012 which is the coverage period of the contest among all local police stations.

He also urged other stations to increase their accomplishments for them to qualify for the Search of the Most Citizen-Friendly Police Station next year.

It was learned that Jamindan PNP has instituted programs for senior citizens and an outreach program for the community.

The evaluators were composed of Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) – Capiz Local Government Capacity Development Section chief Josaril M. Villabeto, NAPOLCOM provincial director Napoleon R. Arostique, Jr. and CPPO Deputy Provincial Director for Operations Supt. Jacob T. Crisostomo. (JCM/AAL/PIA 6 Capiz)
