ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Feb. 21 (PIA) -- Sixteen policemen of the Roxas City Police Station (RCPS) have donated blood on February 20 at the Inzo Arnaldo Village covered gym.

RCPS Public Information Officer PO2 Ramil Arcangeles said that the bloodletting activity was in view of the Police Regional Office directive to conduct activities in view of the heart month celebration this February.

The blood donation activity was followed by a feeding program at Inzo Arnaldo Village Elementary School, wherein 50 pupils were fed with arroz caldo and pan de sal, Arcangeles said.

Both activities, spearheaded by RCPS chief Salvador Dagoon, Jr., aimed to gain community support and cooperation in order to be effective and successful in the delivery of basic public safety services to the community.

Arcangeles added that a fun run activity will also be conducted by the RCPS on March to raise funds for the benefit of persons with disabilities in the city. (JCM/AAL/PIA6 Capiz)
