New Baguio teachers to take oath December 9

Baguio City (27 November) -- Two examinees in Baguio City landed in the Top 10 in the October 2009 Licensure Examination for Teachers recently released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers.

Peter John Delos Santos Magana from Mariano Marcos State University -Laoag- College of Education ranked No. 4 in the LET for elementary with a rating of 87.20.

In the secondary level, Arvin Sammy De Vera Rivo from University Of Pangasinan was No. 10 with a rating of 88.60.

Out of 6,786 examinees in Baguio City, 1,838 or 27.09% successfully hurdled the test. Nationwide, 18, 863 out of 81,571 examinees or 23.12% passed the examination.

The oath-taking ceremonies of the successful examinees in Baguio City will be on Wednesday, December 9, 2009, 9:00 AM at the University of the Cordilleras Gym, Gov. Pack Road, Baguio City. Oath-taking tickets are available at the PRC Baguio Regional Office.

According to PRC Regional Director TEOFILO GAIUS M. SISON, JR, initial mass registration is ongoing.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals. Requirements for the initial registration are: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal; 2009 Community Tax (Cedula);Photocopy of NSO Birth Certificate; Two pieces passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag); One piece 1"x1" picture (colored with white background and complete name tag); One Short Brown Envelope; One metered documentary stamp for the Oath Form; and Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2009-2012.

The Professional Identification Card (PIC) and Certificate of Registration are issued by PRC Central Office after registration.
