Army conducts YLS in Surigao del Sur
Butuan City (4 November) -- The 58th Infantry (Dimalulupig) Battalion, 4th Infantry Division, Philippine Army assisted the 401st Infantry Brigade in the conduct of Youth Leadership Summit (YLS) held at Cagwait White Beach Resort, Cagwait, Surigao del Sur.
Said Youth Leadership Seminar was participated by the Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman in the entire province of Surigao de Sur headed by Honorable Charie Kaye Macapala, SK Federation President.
Also, some fraternity organization from Tandag were also invited and participated in the said activity.
This training was conducted last 23-25 October 2009 in Cagwait with a Theme: "Leadership Training for Peace and Development". A total of 60 lucky youths benefited from the training.
The intention of this gathering is to empower the youth and create awareness on the role of the youth in nation building.
Following areas/subjects were tackled: First Day - Leadership Development - 58IB, Lecture on Project Planning - PPDO, First Aid - PNRC, National Security Awareness - 36IB. 2nd Day - Livelihood Training - TESDA, Market Awareness - NEDA, Drug Awareness Program - PDEA, Good Governance - DILG, Disaster Preparedness - PDCC and Environmental Awareness and Consciousness - 401Bde. 3rd Day - Barangay Awareness Module - 36IB, Workshop on their proposed project (By Teams), Presentation of proposed planning.
Prior culmination of the activity on 25 October 2009, an awarding ceremony was conducted to recognize the effort of the participants in every team building activities. (CMO, 58IB, 4ID/PIA Surigao del Sur) [top]
