Bontoc Hospital gets additional packages of medicine

Bontoc, Mt. Province (29 August) -- Another seven packages of medicines under the Project 100 or P100 DOH program are now available at the pharmacy of Bontoc General Hospital (BoGH).
Based on the list of medicines under the P100, the additional medicines received by BoGH include Allopurinol 100mg (30 tablets for P50.00), Amlodipine Besilate 10mg (6 tablets for P100.00), Cotrimoxazole 800mg/160mg (14tablets for P25.00), Glibenclamide 5 mg (30 tablets for P25.00), Metformin 500mg (90 tablets for P100.00), Metoprolol 50 mg (90 tablets for P100.00), and Metoprolol 100mg (30 tablets for P100.00).
Earlier, BoGH received eight packages of medicines like Amlodipine 5mg, Felodipine 2.5mg, Felodipine 5mg, Felodipine 10mg, Simvastatin 20mg, Atenolol 50 mg, Ascorbic Acid 500mg and Omeprazole 20mg.
Project P100 is a Department of Health's new generic drugs campaign which aims to provide the public with quality drug packages for common diseases for only P100.00
The program which is piloted in 100 government hospitals of which the Bontoc General Hospital is included, is targeted to help poor individual complete his treatment and at the same time address the drug requirement of his body to combat his illness.
The P100 treatment packs can be bought at a cost of P100 or less at the Bontoc General Hospital Pharmacy using a doctor's prescription.
Patients confined who need the medicines under P100 are advised to pay at the cashier's office to avail of the medicines. Patients can reimburse from the PhilHealth if their medicines prescribed during their confinement have not exceeded. (PIA MP) [top]
