PFA to conduct franchising seminar in Gensan

General Santos City (6 February) -- Successful micro and small and medium enterprises in Region 12 will be given a chance to know how to grow their business as the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) conducts its regional venture facilitation and linkaging seminar here on February 19, Tuesday, from 1:00PM-9:00PM at the Bali and Bandar Seri Rooms, East Asia Royale Hotel.

The PFA, the country's pioneer franchise association and the only one of international caliber will hold a seminar entitled "How to Franchise Your Business" and is open to entrepreneurs especially those who are already running a successful business and are dreaming of expanding it. Franchising is known as the most effective method to attain rapid expansion at a minimal risk and achieve faster market penetration.

The PFA regularly holds a tour of its franchising seminars to make available to businessmen in the province the benefits of franchising and how they can use franchising to transform their business into the next franchise giants in the country as well as stimulate economic growth in their area. This opportunity paves the way for local businesses to make a difference for themselves by taking on the franchise advantage.

The said seminar is a project of PFA and Pearl 2 Project in partnership with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and the General Santos Chamber of Commerce and Industry and in cooperation with the Department of Trade and Industry – Region 12.

Micro and SME businesses with potential to become franchisors are invited to attend the said seminar. This very helpful and educational seminar will serve as a venue where one can learn, hear and interact with franchise experts, as well as network with service providers who can help improve business practices.

This information-packed seminar will present the following topics:

  • Trends and opportunities in the Philippine Franchising Sector

  • The franchise advantage and the keys to franchisability

  • The franchise development process

  • The legal and ethical aspects of franchising.

It will also feature an Overview of the SME Government Agenda, various Financial Facilities and loans and Information Communication Technology Solutions for SMEs.

The participants will have the chance to meet face to face with people who can help them expand their businesses and learn more about franchising the right way, especially now when there are many pseudo-franchisors preying on businessmen.

Interested parties may contact the PFA Secretariat at (02) 687-0365 to 67, fax: (02) 687-0635, email: pfa@fibercity.com.ph, or General Santos Chamber of Commerce and Industry and look for Ms. Pilar Afuang at (083) 301-6937 / 301-7887, email gscchamber@gmail.com.

Registration rate for the whole day activity is Php 300.00 which includes seminar kit, certificate and meals. To ensure seat reservation, we encourage pre-registration before 15 February 2008. (PFA/PIA-SarGen) [top]
