Philippine Army needs applicants for OCS

PANACAN, Davao City (7 October) -- The Army Personnel Management Center, Philippine Army thru the Army recruitment Center for Mindanao is again inviting all interested applicants who wants to join the Army Officer Corps.

Major Jose Maria Cuerpo II 5th civil Relations Group Commander said that the Philippine Army will recruit three hundred sixty one (361) candidates for officers from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao for the remaining unfilled quota for the Calendar year 2005.

He said that the exam activities for Davao city are as follows:

  • 05 Nov 05: step 1: Phil. Army Aptitude Test Battery
  • 05 Nov 05: step 2: Army Qualifying examination
  • 05 Nov 05: step 3: Special Written Examination
  • 05 Nov 05: step 4: Physical Fitness Test

Cuerpo said that applicants should pass all the examination from step 1 to step 4 to qualify as candidates for the Army Officer Corps. Failure of any from said examinations cannot proceed to the next step of examination.

"Pre-qualifying/screening and registration are now on going and being conducted at the processing area. Here in Davao, interested applicants may go to our satellite recruitment center located at headquarters Task Force Davao, Ecoland, Quimpo Blvd. Davao City. Initial requirements are birth certificate (NSO Authenticated ), transcript of records and college diploma", said Cuerpo.

He also said that those who qualify the initial screening will be given an admission slip. Applicants must present their slip to the examination team prior to the conduct of the PAATB examination. A series of examination will be then administered to the successful applicant who passed the PAATB.

Applicants must take note of the following qualifications, he/she must be single and without a child, a graduate of any baccalaureate degree with good scholastic records, at least 5"4 in height for male and 5"2 for female, between 21 to 29 years old, no pending case in both military and civilian courts and must be physically and mentally fir to undergo one (1) year rigorous military training.
