18th National Trade Fair to feature MSMEs products

Manila (18 December) -- The micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) will be given the chance to promote their products during the 18th National Trade Fair at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City next year.
Meynard Orbeta, director of the Bureau of Domestic Trade of the Department of Trade and Industry-Manila urged MSMEs to make good with their products as the fair will showcase their competitiveness and productivity.
Orbeta who was in Davao City for the Otop Convergence said that the trade fair will be held on March 12 to 15, 2009.
He said they expect some 200 MSMEs exhibitors with finished products from the different parts of the country and another 50 to showcase semi-processed products and raw materials.
He said they are giving MSMEs the chance to also showcase semi-processed products since many are showing interests to buy this kind of product.
In relation to the showcasing raw material products he said there will also be exhibits of new production technology saying that this can be applied on raw and semi-processed materials.
A Prototype Showcase will also be set up to feature various prototype products developed between 1990 to 2008. (PIA) [top]
